The sea has healing powers! And to me, a quiet lake too. My personal trainer and I talked about this in the gym yesterday. How he finds inspiration by looking at the ocean especially when it's a bit upset with crashing waves. I find that soothing, like I mentioned in another comment to you, just sitting on a beach or rock watching the waves, but also the stillness of a calm lake in the forest. Both bring healing and peace of mind.
It was amazingly helpful in those long recovery times after my cancer surgeries for me to walk in the shallows of the waves & along the ocean. I was always affected by its movement & sounds too & mostly I was alone & I enjoyed that as well! Thanks Susanne for sharing!
I don't get to walk on the beach anywhere near as often as I'd like but even just seeing your photos of the waves and the smooth stones in all their pretty muted colors relaxes me. I too find that rhythm of the waves so calming. In just 9 more days my younger boys and I will be near the ocean again and I can not wait.
Hi Denyse - nature and the beach have always been your happy places. I'm a great believer in doing more of what makes us happy now that we have the time and space to do so. Breathe in that ocean air, enjoy the sunshine that's still around (even in June) and keep those endorphines pumping :) x
Once again, Denyse I'm in awe of your clarity and how you are able to see what you need to do. You've had some life challenges, and I love how you face them head on and deal with them. Have a great weekend.

A year on from this post and I am appreciating you comment and support. My comments were lost when I changed email.
All good now.
