Hi Denyse, The cockatoos have a great time with those flowers don't they? I love that clock! We are currently 'enjoying' autumnal temps over here with a mixed bag of drizzle, sunshine, wind and clouds - some days are quite warmish but it's a beautiful place to be regardless of the weather. Enjoy your spring and I agree about the no 's' on daylight saving. Hope you're doing OK.

Thanks Deb, glad to know that you are finding lots to enjoy despite the weather not behaving! Lovely to be part of the UK family and space for this time in your lives. Very special.

The clock is lovely. We bought it about 6 years ago as B has a love of chiming clocks...and today we had to put it forward an hour.

Love seeing the pics and comments from where you are and I am pretty sure Melanie would be so glad to have Mum and Dad as part of the after school team too.

Take care

I am definitely not used to seeing birds like that in the wild! I immediately thought that someone's pet got out. You have some real beautiful blooms here.

Thanks Joanne. Yes, they are destructive because it's their nature...they make a lot of noise too. Bossy !!

Thanjs for your kind words about the flowers. Spring is pretty!

Take care,

I’m not sure the weather can decide what it’s doing here in Queensland, decidedly cold today! The flowers are all starting to bloom including our jacaranda so I guess nature does know what she is doing

Oh I am looking forward to Jacarandas blooming in Sydney soon Janine. I guess Qld is always first! The year starts falling away when we get to this point and I can scarcely believe that.

Take care, and thanks for sharing too.

I hope your spring photos made you smile, as they certainly made me smile, especially that bottlebrush vandal. I know you take many photos, and feel that it's really great that you can focus on them to tell your story when the words aren't doing it for you.

Thank you Jennifer, I get a kick each time I go into our little garden these days but those sweetpeas...sigh!! We did give them a challenge in where we had to place them. I am a sucker for sweetpeas. I did have words for today but they were a bit much so I went to my photos!!

Take care and your kindness is appreciated.

Hi Denyse, I understand the need to reduce words at times. It's good to listen and know what you need to do. But look at the photos - gorgeous spring colours - very joyful. I love the capture of those vandals and what they managed to do. Wow! I didn't know they did that - maybe they were sucking out some sweetness in the flowers and were destructive while doing so? As for the clocks winding forward an hour - not the case here in Qld. I hate it when NSW and VIC are an hour ahead of us. It's a pain in the butt. I'd prefer all the east coast on the same time but not sure if that will ever happen! Thanks for linking up with #WWWhimsy - have a great week Denyse xo

Min, it's been a good thing to recognise what I was up to today when I decided to post this light-hearted one.

I appreciate using my space here to reflect and more but I needed a break from the year that has been HUGE....I know you understand.

I had no idea of the cockies' vandalism really until these white cockatoos slowly but surely did this same thing to the newly budded leaves on all the trees in our street.

We just have to clean up the mess and it's big. I got a shock last year. And our trees aren't banksias.

I would like DLS to be back at 4 months. It always drags at the end!

Take care,

Denyse x

Hi Denyse - sorry to hear that the words are heavy for you atm, but the photos made up for it with all their colour. And yes, those white cockies are SO destructive!

Thanks so much Leanne. Recognising that I can step away from the big stuff (mostly good but still heavy!) is something I am grateful for.

The white cockatoos also come to our street around November...and the trees are not even full of leaves yet. SOOO messy too!

Take care and your kind words are appreciated always.

Hi Denyse, Your photos of spring flowers made me smile. Spring is a beautiful season with so many new beginnings in nature to look forward to. Where I live Daylight Saving Time ends on November 3 and clocks are turned backwards one hour. Have a great week! #TeamWWWhimsy

Thank you Natalie. It's lovely to see the blooms that are in our small garden. And I know that we do not much other than water them in the right soil so nature doing its thing is amazing. Daylight saving time ending for you means ...less light where you live I guess.

Take care,

Sometimes images and photos can say so much more than words, Denyse. I hear you about needing a break from words. Beautiful Spring blooms always bring joy and yes, we have to get used to Daylight Savings again. I do wish we had it here in Queensland. x

Yes Sue they can and do. I had a post ready for today and decided to schedule it for a future date.

Going with nature is always a win for me.

Thanks for your kind words. Sorry about Queensland and no DLS.

Take care,

I quite like not having to change the clocks, although it does my head in that we're so out of sync with the rest of the Eastern states for 6 months. I normally ring my parents at 5, but now have to diary to do it an hour earlier so I don't interrupt their meal times. Then there's the inconvenience of flight schedules and... don't get me started!

Yes to no clock changes but I also get how inconvenient it is living where you are and with the connections you have here in N.S.W. When DLS was first introduced it was last weekend in October (my bro's 21st bday when it kicked off I think) and then finish around B's Bday at end of February.

4 months turned to 6 if I am correct around the time Sydney hosted the Olympics and we may have even brought it forward to that September in 2000. I know schools had 3 weeks of holidays due to all the busses needed in Sydney then. My mind holds so much trivia!!

Thanks Jo for reading and commenting. Your support is always appreciated.

Take care,
