That’s a great little suburban walk you have there. So much to look at - many don’t really see what’s under their noses do they. Orange Gazania is gorgeous when it blooms - so bright and vibrant - lifting their faces to the sun. Our aggies are in bud as well so I’m expecting an explosion of blue very soon
So true...we don't always appreciate what is close to home.
I LOVE gazanias but they are also,I think, hard to purchase as some places deem them a pest. Sigh!!
As for the agapanthus, at the house we rented near the coast, we got up to 80 blooms along the side walkway over the Spring into Summer time. They always make me think "Christmas is coming!"
Thanks Catherine for your kind words and take care,
Lovely images Denyse. Having a routine can be good for us but shouldn't rule us! I like that you're getting out and about and enjoying being in nature. I like walking but am still having trouble with my knee at times so am taking it easy. Love the idea of your getting festive out on the nature strip!
Thanks for your kind words too, especially for Min's loss. It's always great to see your posts for #WWWhimsy.
Thanks so much Deb. I understand the need to be flexible but I also realised after writing this post that I do seem to get more walks in at other places too (not just large shopping centres!!)
We've had a re-think about the nature strips and Christmas Decorations so everything is just back a bit on the land attached to this property....so they stay put!
I am grateful I can still share my words with the link up too.
You're right. I have been taking myself out for those walks when I go to some of my places. It's also not wonderful in the 'heat' right now...or I am using all of my energy at the shops instead!! Thanks for getting it.
Isn’t strange how we can make a new habit and stick at it for ages and then one day find we have slipped out of it again! Well done you for recognising it and getting back on track
A morning walk is a lovely way to start the day - don't you think? I'm lucky to have Teddy - he's a great excuse/motivation to get out of the house! I can't wait to see your Christmas decorations :)
It is indeed but I wonder with what's happening weather wise in your part of the world this is possible?? I saw snow, right?? I have to admit our Christmas is the most understated ever. But still got that old fashioned excitement a bit!!
In this busy life that we live, Denyse, it's so easy to get ourselves quickly off track. I'm pleased you've recognised it and started your walks again, as I know they were beneficial for you. I walk every day, always with Oscar. My partner has three days off each week now., so we walk together on those days. We walk quietly and contemplatively and I love it.
Yes it is easy to get out of that routine Jennifer, and I think I was overly busy doing other things too. Now that has slowed down, and the weather is more suitable I will walk more. However, I am sometimes making it part of my plan when I go out for my day of exploring. You are sounding so well adjusted to your and your partner's time together!
Hi Denyse - I walk every morning too - no phone (so no photos), no distractions, just me and God and my neighbourhood. It's such a blessing to live somewhere that has nature as well as houses - to just zone out and be grateful for where we live and to feel a part of a community. I'm glad you're rediscovering that joy.
Life can get in the way, Denyse but good to hear you are getting back to your nature walks. Your photos of the beautiful blooms have made my morning. It is a dreary, rainy day here in Brisbane and you've brightened it with your post. Thanks for joining us at #WWWhimsy and have a beautiful week. Sue L. #TeamWWWhimsy xx
Thanks for sharing the beauty on your walks Denyse! It's nice to see bright colours outdoors as here everything is all Fall oranges and browns and reds and yellows (some greens too in evergreens and some bushes) but not as bright and sunny as your images! So thank you for bringing some brightness to our Fall/Autumn 🍁🍂 here!

Well, you were doing lots of walks all over Sydney. So I can see how some slipped, but overall you were probably still same steps.
Great flowers - the jasmine and gardenias are divine at the moment. I too am a walker...

I do find it strange too Janine but I think when I consider what I've also been up to, I have more than likely been busy elsewhere.
No excuse but I also have to be aware of my physical limitations...age and all that!!
Take care,

We are loving having me time together. I think it’s a good transition to retirement for him and for us.

Ah that sounds perfect Leanne, I loved reading that.
I tend to take the phone for safety reasons too. That's me!
I admit I have been slack in re-visiting the walks but feeling a bit more tired than normal I am going to keep listening to my body.
Take care,

Oh that's no good Sue, we have had some gloomy days but not as rainy as yours. Being away from the coast is probably a reason.
I'm glad the photos were a brightener for you today.
As for 'yes' to being back out there..I will be!
Take care, and thanks for caring and looking after Min's link up too.

Thanks Caitlin, your seasons's colours sound pretty awesome too.
I appreciate you popping in to read and comment!
