Welcome to Denyse Whelan Writes Here …in 2025.
Mindful Of My CAPACITY…
To be me,
is to take into account all that is about ‘this me’ now
Who needs to remind herself (often) about her…
CAPACITY to:
Live
Love
Be
Do
in terms of self-care, and care for others too…
MINDFUL
always of:
LIMITATIONS….because I can get very….tired/overwhelmed/distressed …when I have not set BOUNDARIES within..still on my Learner’s Permit here…but at least a recent forced period of rest has made me AWARE of this need.
About CAPACITY
C aring for me
A ccountable to me
P ausing for a while
A wareness is key
C ompassion for me
I t's about boundaries
T rue to my values
Y es, I am being mindful of my capacity in 2025.
Something I reflected on the way to coming to this way in which to be both self-caring and self-compassionate too is here:
Welcome 2025.
I know you are already a new year for us.
I wrote briefly about how I got here….
I look forward to BEING more mindful in each moment, hour and day.
Thank you Bernard for your kind encouragement as I made choices about my direction.
Thanks to Sue from here and Debbie from here who are sharing Word Of The Year 2025 posts via a link up where I contributed this image.
The link up is open on the blogs above from Monday 6 January 2025 to Wednesday 8 January 2025.

Hi, Denyse - This is such a thoughtful and inspiring way to approach the new year! I love how you’ve woven capacity into a holistic and self-compassionate framework. Your acronym is not only creative but also empowering, serving as a gentle reminder to honor our limits while staying true to our values.
Here’s to a mindful and meaningful 2025! 🌟
This sounds perfect for you, Denyse. I love the thoughtful way you spelled out what CAPACITY means for you. Here's to remaining mindful of our capacities in 2025 and being compassionate and gentle with ourselves.
