They did work well. I tend to take around 20 seconds too which isn't a load. Glad you enjoyed them. You too would have some beautiful little vids to share from your area.
Thank you so much Deb. I think they help capture more and when Dad couldn't see so well, he still enjoyed the sounds of the ocean when I made little vids for him.
Hi Denyse, I enjoyed your videos! I often do them too as sometimes they can capture more than a photograph can. I've done that walk to Shelly Beach so those were some familiar scenes to me. I'm sure your Dad heard you and was with you at the time you made that video at Manly when you were thinking of him. Thanks for linking up with #WWWhimsy - hope you have a great weekend! xo
I enjoyed all the videos but especially the ones of Manly - I have so many happy memories there too. Lovely tribute to your dad - I cannot believe it's been 4 months already. Sending you a big hug x
These are fabulous videos; you do live in such a beautiful area. I'm pretty sure if I lived near the ocean I'd be walking along the beach listening to the waves every day.
Thanks Joanne. We don't live as close to the ocean anymore but when I can make the one hour drive I do...You are right, it's such a great place to walk as my Dad loved to do often.
And that dear friends is why we should ‘record’ in whatever way we can all those little things in life that might seem inconsequential at the time. Little bits of this and little bits of that all tied together to show what has been important to you over the past few years
I definitely enjoyed seeing it and reliving them with you- thanks for sharing Denyse
Aww thank you Cathy. It's lovely how much you 'get this'. I take videos of around 20 seconds of many places and of people (the family if I am allowed) and those snippets are very important memories made. I used to have short chats with Dad too, and he didn't mind at times. I haven't been able to re-watch them (yet) and I still have his last ever voicemail..I won't delete it.
As a then blogger, sharing images and storires has been a rather big part of my life away from Sydney.
And I am chuffed your enjoyed them.
Hope you continue to do well and enjoy the Qld winter.
I can't beleive that's been 4 months. It's gone fast (but probably not fasst for you). Nice moment (and record) for you. Lovely scenic shots too, esp South head with the city in the background
It's been almost 6 months since Dad died...by end of August and it's still surreal but of course we are 'moving on'...and for that I am grateful. I love a good visit to places I've known well since my youth. Many memories from this days too..
The city and the harbour are VERY special to you and me!
Thank you Leanne. I get a kick out of revisiting them too. I do miss that relatively easy access to beaches but won't return...the access to the people I connect with and love can't be beaten.
How cool to see so many beaches with the waves crashing onto them. I remember Manley beach but didn't realize it was considered 3 seperate ones. Great to hear your voice! Kudos to you for the videos and mastering the technology to put them onto here! Bernie
Thanks so much Bernie. Generically it is Manly at the southern end of the beach and the suburb is too. What a great way for those to visit..get off the ferry at Manly Wharf and walk across the road to The Corso, follow it east and "voila" Manly Beach!! Thanks for your kind words.
I've been curious how videos work here, also. They all embed nicely. Such beautiful spots, thank you for sharing.

A lovely area Denyse and your videos worked a treat! A great way to show more than just a photo. #TeamWWWhimsy

Oh I am so glad Sam!
Manly is such an iconic place.
Dad died almost 6 months ago! Yes time gets away from us.
Hugs are definitely appreciated.

Nice to see all the videos and to hear you at the end Denyse. It's lovely that you've recorded so much for your memories and for posterity.

Some lovely places - and memories for you.
Indeed they are Joanne. I miss the rough seas and the convenient location on the Central Coast but still much better settled back here.
Loving your pics from 'windy' Wellington which did seem to live up to its name!
