Creating things - whether it’s words, food, or even stories in my head keeps me sane…

I tend to work on my creative project either first thing in the morning or in the late afternoon once all my household/homeschooling chores and responsibilities are done. I have a corner carved out of our bedroom where I keep all my supplies handy.

The secret is not having to get things out isn’t it! Thanks Joanne, your scrapbooking has always impressed me! Denyse x

Thank you so much Susanne! You understand! It's truly been so freeing for me to create like this just for me. I admit it's helped me ease so much during my cancer years. Mandalas were something I created for a whole year! One a day. I know! I love patterns & colours & read recently that rhythmic pattern making soothes! I knew that by instinct!

Great to be connecting here again too.

And will tell B about your nice words about us!

Oh, what a lovely creative corner you have there! Adding colour to your square pattern must be so soothing!

Art and creating certainly is good for the soul. I'm trying to create a business around it (graphic design, and related), so I need to be careful to also do it just for pleasure. This hasn't been the case during the past year but with some hard times lately I've started to become more mindful about how I spend my time and to take time off. I've been pushing myself too hard with things that I normally do for fun, but I'm re-learning to just enjoy it. That's part of my word of the year!

That's such a lovely picture of you and your husband!
