I’ve been a soul who has longed to travel.
I know, I am a body and more than a soul (and I thank my husband for his thoughts)
I am someone who LOVES home…and I have written about that here quite a bit.
BUT I am also someone who is extroverted and loves to be out and about…
Unless:
I am unwell…yes, a LOT of the past 8 years were spent with me having some major physical and more minor emotional health issues. Too many to name but age 65 to 73 was H A R D.
BUT I am now as well as I can be for a 74 year old whose health has been somewhat compromised.
OH yes, and I can be impulsive, and a bit pushy …I admit it.
So I imagined if I planned well, and was very organised then, over time, I might get to have a LONG dreamed of trip to the United Kingdom to discover more of my late father’s heritage.
Teacher me had a plan to get some practice in as independent travel had not been part of my life for a LONG time (thanks Cancer, thanks living away on the coast, and thanks no way to fund it) ….but I gave the practice a go.
Readers will know it was not how I had hoped…and here was where I made up my mind about something very important. This short video is from the concourse around the Sydney Opera House and was taken by me on a busy Thursday morning in late May.
BUT wait….there is more!
In the next few weeks I may be updating my readers here.
Till then, bon voyage to those who are about to travel or those who are already travelling.
Denyse.
Here I am joining with Min and friends for here Wednesday’s Words and Whimsy today.
Okay, I'm intrigued. I look forward to the next update, Denyse.
Oh I'm intrigued now Denyse!!
