Thank you Janine. I know I’m very fortunate! It’s great to have a dedicated space and in the last 3 houses we rented I’ve had that. It’s precious! Warm wishes, Denyse
Hi Denyse, you've inspired me to try doing some artwork as I've never tried it. I write my journal every day and have done for about 7 years; I have thrown a lot of them away as I wanted to 'let go' of old feelings and beliefs as I move forward. I love doing cross stitch and am just about to start one for my third great grandson who is due in August 💙
Yes! That's so cool. You already know about colour and design doing cross stitch. And another new gr grandson sounds awesome. When I first started this (2013) I was very keen to "get it right" and have others like it too. As the years went by I made most of it around the benefit I got via the process. Tell no-one, get some supplies and have FUN! Denyse x
That's excellent advice and I know, at one time I'd have been the same in terms of striving for perfection. Now, I just want to explore my creative side, particularly as my lifetime mantra has been 'I haven't got a creative bone in my body'. Thanks Denyse 😘
Hi Denyse - I love all your art journals and written journals - I like to do a little update in my written journal semi-regularly. Not enough happens for it to be daily, but I enjoy writing with a pen and noting a few of the blessings from recent days/weeks. I hope you'll share some of your collaging sometime - I'm so in love with it as a creative medium and I'd be interested to see your take on it with all the lovely materials you'll have invested in. x
Oh thanks Leanne! We might need to do email catch ups on those. I will share! I'm getting brave enough to do that! How does that sound?
I even braved my way back to Pinterest but I still find it SO busy & overwhelming!
I'm re discovering my love for scrapbooking but as I have finished off the albums x 8 huge ones - they're very heavy too, but grandkids like checking them out, I'm going to use the lovely new-to-me B5 journals which take paint & paper & paste but are not too much for me.
Using my creative brain again now to plan how I'm going to make this Family Journal & what is likely to go in.
I admit it also feels good to extend my mind now beyond "me"
Oh gosh I love your dedicated creativity space, your art/writing journals and your creative patterns!

Let's make that lie become the truth!
That’s lovely, thanks for sharing.
